Question: I am making stuffed pork loin and it calls for chicken broth. I don't have any, but could i use beef broth?

Answer #1:

I wouldn't suggest it. Chicken broth is used for its salty flavor, beef broth has a more beefy flavor it will change the taste of your dish.

Answer #2:

Yes, you can use beef broth. In fact, in stuffing, the liquid is mostly to add moisture to the stuffing. So, go ahead an even use water in place of the chicken broth.

You could even use fruit juice instead of the broth. For instance, apple juice or even cranberry juice.

If you have any of the cubes/powdered chicken boullion, you could always make it into broth by adding water to a small amount of it. Just read the jar/box for how to dilute it.

Cheers!
